Eid-al-Adha Confirmed | Saturday 9th July 2022/1443

Asalamu ‘Aleykum Warahmatullaahi Wabarakaatuhu

Official Decision and Announcement of the High Judiciary Council of Saudi Arabia.

Just a short time ago, Assunnah Islamic Centre (AIC) was informed of the official decision and announcement of the High Judiciary Council of Saudi Arabia, that since the moon of Dhul Hijjah WAS SIGHTED this evening, in Saudi Arabia, we have completed twenty-nine (29) days of Dhul Qi’dah (1443 A.H.).

We shall be celebrating Eid ul-Adha on Saturday 9th July 2022 (10 Dhul-Hijjah 1443), in sha Allah.

1st Dhul Hijjah 1443: Thursday 30th June 2022

Day of Arafah (9th Dhul Hijjah 1443): Friday 8th July 2022

Eid al-Adha (10th Dhul Hijjah 1443): Saturday 9th July 2022

The ten days of the month of Dhul Hijjah are great in virtue and it is from the Sunnah to increase in worship and good deeds; especially fasting on the Day of Arafah.

Abu Qutadah (ra) reports that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasallam) was asked about fasting on the Day of Arafah. He said, “It expiates for the sins of the previous year and of the coming year.” (Muslim)

May Allah accept the Hajj of all pilgrims and the efforts of all those at home – Ameen.

EID PRAYER
Eid Prayer will be held at the Masjid (timing TBC). Space is extremely limited, so first come first served.
